Setting up company is just the first step for Self-Employment. The key things is to demonstrate that new job is in same/similar classification and company has offered "bonafide" job, not just job on paper.
BTW, it is not necessary to have LLC. The corporate structure could be S-Corp or C-Corp also.

In current H1B denial rate becuse of client letters RFE, the self employed AC21 cases shold be more prepared, in case of RFE.

I am also on the same boat.Application filled on 5th June still no news,checks have not been cleared yet.
My 485 applications reached NSC on June 4th, 2007. I have called my attorney. They haven't received anything so far. I need to wait for few more days./

For god's sake, if you intend to send hundreds of emails and letters and call yourselves highly skilled immigrants, can you take the time to have your letter proof read by someone? If not anyone, at least by Microsoft Word?? I start reading the text of some of the emails and shake my head at some of the gobbledegook you are spewing. It is counter productive to say the least.

I was in a similar situation .. my employer ended up applying using my bachelor's degree. You can do that, as long as you are not claiming one of the 20000 visas exempted from the cap for masters degree holders.
As stated above, it says that i can apply on april1st. Now i am graduating in masters in may. Can I still apply on april 1st, dont I need the diploma to apply for H1B? Please explain.

Here are my case details.
PD-09/04
I-140 -EB3 - TSC- Approved 08/06.
I-140-EB2 - Pending at TSC. RD 04/25/07 based on Perm to port 09/04 PD.
I-485/EAD/AP filed at NSC on 08/03/07. RD 08/06/07.
I guess longway to go for getting receipts.

I see a Webfax being setup. Only 49 members have used it. Very simple to use, click on webfax, enter your state and details, send. 10 sec. Please use this. This is the most simple thing you can do.

A note to my fellow IV members - I am not after the $42/Hr job. Good luck in finding a US citizen to do this job. I was wrong about EEO, it is actually IRCA which prohibits discrimination in recruitment and hiring.

In ideal situation Desi employer should provide value rather than just scrape money as revenue sharing mechanism.
If a desi employer can go and get projects and becomes preferred vendor, he would not even do H-1s. He will use a Sub. Believe me H-1B visa is a pain in the ass even for the employer too.
There is a reason desi employers exist. both the desi employers and desi employees pick the best possible scenario/solution with respect to their situation.

Options might be
I donated towards reimbursement and that is where i would like to see it going. If not i will withdraw my pledge.
I don't care and will stand by the pledge.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTION of contacting state chapter heads. State chapter heads are not your personal lackeys. They are members who receive instructions from the IV core team to take on initiatives.
This is NOT an initiative that the ENTIRE IV community supports and hence will NOT be taken up by state chapter heads. The key here is UNITY UNITY UNITY. You have chosen to break the FIRST CODE of IV ethics and that is UNITY.
Lastly, it is NOT upto YOU to decide what is ethical and unethical. It is upto the CORE team. So please consult with the core team before you make up the rules.
What's yur damn problem if someone wants to fight INJUSTICE ??? If u don't fucking like the idea.. then back off and stop reading this post.... u dont have to lecture anyone on what's ethical and unethical... remember we are all Highly skilled here.... so we can decide that for ourselves...
